Art Centre

Tibetan Art Centre is a museum and a cultural centre. Its collection has been collected by composer, musician, visual artist and meditation teacher Pekka Airaksinen (1945–2019) since 1974. It has mainly been acquired from Nepal, but also from India in lesser part. The collection is particularly broad, and high in quality, including thangka paintings, statues, ritualistic objects, musical instruments and jewellery.

The Art Centre has a permanent exhibition of Tibetan art, as well as temporary thematic exhibitions. Furthermore, there will be exhibitions of modern art inspired by Tibetan philosophy.

Tibetan Art Centre is located in the Dharma Centre which was founded by Airaksinen in 1980. The Art Centre is run by the association Perinneyhdistys muinaismieliset ry.
